MakatiMed requires RT-PCR testing for patient admissions

Makati Medical Center has implemented a new policy that requires patients for admission to undergo an RT-PCR testing. This is in light of the increased community transmission of COVID-19 and the incidence of presumed asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic COVID-19 individuals. ​ The RT-PCR test result of patients for direct or “pre-arranged” admission is valid for two (2) weeks provided the following are strictly determined and established, as declared in the Patient Screening Form:

1. There was no recent exposure with a COVID-19 case.

2. There are no symptoms or condition, suspicious or confirmed, suggestive of COVID-19.
